Jacksonville, FL – SCRI Cardiovascular, a division of Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), one of the world’s leading clinical research programs, is partnering with Memorial Hospital to provide patients access to cutting-edge clinical trials in Northeast Florida. As a leader in cardiovascular research, SCRI Cardiovascular provides a foundation for evidence-based strategies that facilitate optimal and cost-effective patient care. Clinical trial options are currently available at Memorial Hospital.

Under the leadership of Dr. Van Crisco, the program will develop a clinical research program with a focus on cardiovascular drug and device development. Dr. Crisco is an experienced clinician with more than 13 years of research experience in stem cell, peripheral and coronary trials. Memorial Hospital provides advanced cardiology services which include Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac and Peripheral Procedures, Chronic Total Occlusion Revascularization (CTO), Alcohol Septal Ablations, Carotid Stenting, PFO Closures, Tilt Table Testing, Electrophysiology Studies, Radiofrequency and Cryo Ablations, Pacemaker and Internal Cardiac Defibrillator (ICD) implants, Open Heart Surgery, Heart Valve Replacements, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Lariat and Thoracoscopic MAZE.

SCRI Cardiovascular has conducted more than 120 industry-sponsored clinical trials and enrolled more than 1,500 participants since the program’s inception in 2007. It works with 75 cardiologists in the areas of interventional, electrophysiology, heart failure, imaging and surgery to provide access to novel therapies.
