Orange Park Medical Center will expand into Jacksonville in the summer of 2015 with a new state-of-the-art free-standing emergency center. The 11 bed, 11,120 square foot facility will be located on 103rd Street just east of Interstate 295 in West Jacksonville, bridging the geographic gap between surrounding emergency rooms in the region.

Park West Emergency Center will be a full-service ER licensed by the State as an Emergency Department and will operate just like an ER that is attached to a hospital. The new Emergency Center will employ more than 40 staff members, including around-the-clock physicians. The building will have both adult and pediatric entrances and 24/7 imaging/radiology services.

“This community has a great need for emergency care,” says Chad Patrick, CEO of Orange Park Medical Center. “The residents in this area will benefit from having convenient access to emergency medical care and the reassurance of knowing Orange Park is a top quality provider that has been in the area for more than 40 years.”

The Park West Emergency Center leadership team is already working very closely with local EMS/Fire Stations to ensure the best experience for both responders and patients. “The response we’ve received from the community has been very positive and welcoming.” says Patrick. “Having a full-fledged emergency center close to home provides the peace of mind for when the unexpected occurs.”
