Orange Park, FL – Chad Patrick has joined Orange Park Medical Center as Chief Executive Officer. Patrick replaces retiring CEO Tom Pentz, who will act as a consultant during the leadership transition.

“Chad Patrick brings a proven track record with a strong commitment to patient satisfaction, quality outcomes, physician relations and community relations,” said Ron Coleman, Board Chair, Orange Park Medical Center. “Patrick has been a catalyst for improvement and growth throughout his career, and while Orange Park has built a strong community reputation, Patrick is a special leader who will take the hospital to even greater heights.”

Most recently, Patrick served as the Division President for Regional Care Hospital Partners in Brentwood, Tennessee, responsible for a five-hospital healthcare system. Prior to his role at Brentwood, he served as President and CEO of Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, KY, CEO of Dayton Heart Hospital in Ohio and Executive Vice President/COO for the Southwest Ohio Region at Catholic Health Partners. Patrick earned a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor’s of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Ohio State University.

Having begun his career as a respiratory therapist, Patrick is a leader who understands the business from the front line perspective, as well as the strategic global view. He has earned several awards as CEO in his prior hospitals, including being selected as a “Top 20 Executive” for Catholic Health Partners Leadership Academy. He attributes his success to placing employee satisfaction as a top priority, which positively impacts patient satisfaction and clinical quality excellence.

Patrick and the Orange Park leadership team share the vision of continued growth in the face of new competition. “We welcome our healthcare partners to the community and look forward to the new landscape,” said Patrick. “Orange Park Medical Center is best positioned to provide the residents of our surrounding community with the most comprehensive, award-winning care. That, along with our heightened commitment to patient satisfaction and quality outcomes, is very meaningful when people choose which emergency or operating room to receive care.”
