Orange Park Medical Center and the Dye Clay Family YMCA Team Up For New Rehabilitation Program
Orange Park, FL – Orange Park Medical Center, in partnership with the Dye Clay Family YMCA, have launched a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Maintenance program designed for individuals who complete their initial rehabilitation at Orange Park Medical Center and want to continue their Rehabilitation through an 8-week exercise program, being offered at the Dye Clay Family YMCA.
The goal of the program, called Activate Your Heart, is to improve participants’ mobility and physical fitness so they can enjoy the same or higher level of activity they did before their cardiopulmonary intervention. This program includes self-directed assessments, individual workout plans designed by a certified personal trainer, and includes cardio, strength, and flexibility training. The Dye Clay Family YMCA will waive the membership joining fee for each participant. After completing the program, participants can then become a full facility YMCA member.
Jen Silvers, Executive Director for the Dye Clay Family YMCA says, “Healthy Living is a priority for the YMCA and we work with individuals and families, organizations and communities, to reduce their risk of chronic disease. We are excited to partner with Orange Park Medical Center and believe the Activate Your Heart program is another tool to help those in our community that have suffered a cardiac incident.”
Pleased with the new program, Kelly Lindsay, Director of Cardiovascular Services at Orange Park Medical Center, states “I’m excited to be working with the Dye Clay Family YMCA to offer this great program to our patients. Activate Your Heart will provide a terrific benefit for participants, providing the tools they need to sustain an active lifestyle.”
