Colleton Medical Center transfers inpatients to sister HCA Healthcare facilities, ER remains open

Walterboro, SC (July 13, 2024) – Out of an abundance of caution following the loss of air conditioning facility-wide, all 32 inpatients receiving care at Colleton Medical Center are being transferred to our sister HCA Healthcare facilities in the area; Trident Medical Center, Summerville Medical Center and Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness.

Colleton Medical Center's ER remains open for walk-in emergency care needs.

All hospital outpatient services scheduled for Monday, July 15 are being rescheduled.

New AC units are on the way and Colleton Medical Center will return to full operations when we can ensure the comfort of our patients, their families, and our team members.
